JOAN SKINNER

It’s risky

There is much to be discovered in the small knot of fear

at the farthest corner of your heart.

Night skies and open roads are no panacea.

No way out.

No way through.

A newborn in your hands

can hardly touch it.

Once set free

fear will hover till you have purged it

with age.
