ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Frankie McMillan is a Christchurch poet and short fiction writer. Her new book, The Father of Octopus Wrestling and other small fictions was launched by Canterbury University Press in August 2019. She has published five books, co-edited Bonsai best small stories from Aotearoa New Zealand in 2018 and was long-listed for the 2017 NZ Ockham awards. She currently holds the NZSA Peter and Diane Beatson Fellowship for a novella based around the lives of children and workers in a children’s home.
